This class was a bit longer than usual, which allowed for an expanded class introduction and instructional segment. Kevin explained the “why” behind the technique which I found helpful for context. Also great was various students were asked to be the uke when demonstrating the move which keeps everyone fully engaged. During the practice time instructors walked the class to assist. VJ was great too. Thank you and I think this class is a great new addition!

As per usual, coach did a wonderful job today. We worked on triangle concepts today, he was very patient with us by explaining and showing us the proper way to execute the moves nd also, how to get out of it as well.

Marco is great, I’ve known him for awhile now and watched him go from student to instructor, I’ve watched him compete, I’ve had the privilege to roll with him on multiple occasions, travel to Costa Rica for the in-house jiu jitsu camp, and consider him a friend. He’s such a great teacher and can deconstruct jiu jitsu in a way that white belts through black belts can learn in his class.

Worked my first ever class with coach Marco today and it was great. The great thing about being new to a sport is that you have no prior knowledge on the matter so you can just absorb anything thrown at you. Coach Marco worked class at a perfect pace, which helped me not fall behind or feel like I was moving too fast. Looking forward to many more!

This was a great class. My first in a couple months due to injuries, vacation and some issues with my business. But a great and tough class to come back to. Learned a lot and a great workout.
