Today was my first class at CrossFit Kane’ohe. I received a warm welcome from everyone from the moment I arrived. Coach Craig was very helpful in introducing me to the class and modifiny workouts to fit my needs and ability. The community here is supportive and motivating.

Mima did an excellent job from start to finish. She made minor adjustments to the warm-up to keep class time on track. She kept the class rolling and didn’t get stuck with any one athlete for too long. As we kicked off the workout, she checked in between rounds and made adjustments as needed. I would have liked to see more strategy building and mental coaching during the suck part of the workout.
As usual Steph is a master at coaching and leading her students to be better with each session. She is a strong coach and I feel improvement with each session! Thanks Steph!
Coach Jayson is the real MVP of the 5AM crew! He always shows up with the most chipper attitude — which is exactly what you need when you’re still waking up and about to get crushed by a WOD. His energy is contagious and instantly lifts the vibe in the gym. Jayson does a great job clearly demonstrating every movement, and more importantly, he knows how to push people to level up — whether that’s adding a little more weight, moving faster, or digging a bit deeper — all while keeping a strong emphasis on proper form. He finds that perfect balance between encouragement and accountability, and it makes a huge difference in how we all grow as athletes. Super grateful for his leadership and positivity. Ed is a great coach. His instructions are easy to follow and clear. Even in a big class, he gives people specific, individualized feedback to help them improve. He has great vibe and motivates everyone to challenge themselves.
I always appreciate Craig’s pacing— doesn’t feel like there’s a lot of lag time or too rushed. Everything is explained well and modifications are clearly taught/practiced.

Today was my first time meeting Jayson, but he was a great coach. He demonstrated the movements well enough for me to get them even though it was my first time for some of them. He’s also very encouraging and his words helped me push myself when I was getting gassed out. Jayson did an amazing job and I look forward to coming to Kaneohe CrossFit from now on.

Had a great class today and Craig gave me a tip that was a game changer for me. Craig is very attentive and has helped me a lot over the last year.
Coach Craig never assumes that all is OK with our bodies. He always asks about injuries or aches and pains. And he always has a scaling option for us. Gives me a reason to never Cherry Pick a WOD. Just show up and get it done scaled or RX. Not too mention he encourages any option selected and still pushes you to do your best! Mahalo Craig! We appreciate you.

Edward explained all of the moves clearly, quickly, and loud enough for a big class to hear. Made individual adjustments to people’s techniques as needed in real time, without slowing down the flow of class. He pushed everyone in a positive way, encouraged me to go heavier on some exercises because he knew I had the capacity to. Kept the class on time for the duration of the hour.
I really like that coach Mima is back. She is helpful, very attentive, has great energy and banger Latin playlists. She pushed me to keep going hard in the workout when all I wanted to do was vomitar.
Steph is very knowledgeable and understands my specific needs to address old injuries and getting me back on track. Everyone was very welcoming in class and had a lot of fun.

Steph was awesome at 5am. She had a strong energy that pushed us to get the best out of this mornings workout. She also provided great cues to fix my form to avoid injuries. It was nice to be able to stretch at the end of the workout.
She always helps guide us through the exercises and helps corrects any mistakes we make. And makes sure we’re doing things safely.
Today was a great class, very motivating and upbeat. I felt like our technique was being watched and fixed. We were also motivated to keep pushing ourselves!

Sean is awesome, love him as a coach. Unfortunately I’ve decided that the structure of class and programming isn’t something that works for me, and I’m going to be trying out other gyms after this week. Class today was programmed 60 semi heavy deadlifts with 4 minutes to warm up, despite there being no strength portion of the workout which should allow for 20+ minutes of warming up. This seems to be most of the programming I’ve seen at CrossFit Kaneohe where there is no strength portion programmed, a lengthy positioning warmup with no weight on the barbell, and then a very short amount of time to actually get prepared for the workout. I think this gym is great for beginner cross-fitters that are just learning how to move/pickup a barbell, but maybe not so much for those ready to put in work and move the entire hour.

First of all awesome workout community! Very welcoming! I just came in for the Memorial Day MURPH work out. It was very well put together. Never did a CrossFit class before usually just do cross training by myself but what i loved about doing it with a coach I got called out on my technique by coach Steph. im very technical on how I do stuff so I love the critiques! Always room for improvement. Over all great experience and would definitely recommend people and come back

Today we first worked on a one max rep deadlift and Coach Sean does such an excellent job on explaining and breaking down each movement. It helped me with my form and saving my back. We then had a 9 minute AMRAP and Coach Sean’s positive encouragement really helped me get through it. Thanks Coach for a great class!

Lauren did a great job coaching the Jan 8th, 430p class. I was concerned about my elbow pain and she suggested to go lighter on the bar or use a kb. I appreciated that. She is always positive and very approachable. Great job Lauren!

Coach Steph was great! She was able to help me focus on my snatch and jerk. Shoulders over knees, (sassy back) and opening up my shoulders. Still a work In progress, but she made me comfortable with the adjustments. Mahalo Coach Steph!
I thought it was great. I really liked that the warm-up was time limited and moved at a good pace, which allowed for time to do a cooldown and stretch together at the end after the WOD.
Love any day you life heavy! Warmup was really good for warming up the shoulders and legs for the lifts, doing extra squat therapy before lifting to recognize those key points during the lifts and progression into the weight for the workout.
Meli helped me with my form heaps, I really enjoy learning and class when Meli is coaching!

Class was great. Announcements made. White board brief explained and demonstrated. Options of the starting weight and workout weight provided along with box heights. Modification options provided to those who needed them. Additonal pre-WOD stretching given plus class had enough time to complete stretching post-WOD. Coach Ed provided lots of cues for our lift and encouragement during our lifts. Music playlist was fine as well.
Ed is an excellent coach. He is always patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. He has a good balance of pushing his students to get stronger, while also knowing how to help them scale, improve form, and stay safe.
