To be honest I was very intimidated going into CrossFit in general. Jenn has made it so stress free and welcoming. This class was a challenge especially for someone like me who has little upper body strength but Jenn provided multiple modifications that made the workout challenging yet able to be accomplished based on my specific strength and skill level. Jenn is very knowledgeable and makes sure to appropriately demonstrate all skills and makes sure everyone practices each part of every skill before the workout begins to ensure safety and proper form. If you’re thinking about joining, I would highly encourage meeting with Jenn to customize your workout!

My daughter 11 & myself started this journey together. The Coaches Jennifer and Austin have been great. Even with a class full they take the time to show and explain the routine and correct movements. They also offer modifications with the same impact to the focused area without judgment. Great friendly atmosphere.

I have been coming to tried and true for over a year now. I do not think of myself as much of an athlete. When I first started attending classes I was nervous about knowinh what to do, how to move , or what people would think of me. When I started I didn't even know that I wasn't suppose to kick my butt when jumping rope... I had a lot to learn. Jenn has helped me so much through this adventure of health, she helped me learn to jump rope, lift weights and just move my body better. She is an excellent teacher and I am so thankful that I have gotten to have her as my coach. She has done an excellent job of taking the fear out of working out, of making sure you can do a movement, and scaling it if need be. The tried and true community is extremely welcoming and supportive.I have found friends in class and have enjoyed working out with the entire Tried and True staff. I may still not totally know how to move my body, but Jenn has been there through my entire adventure, and her energy and kindness keep me coming back. If you are even thinking about trying out cross fit you couldn't ask for a better coach, regardless of your fitness level

I was nervous coming into this first class just not truly knowing what it would hold. Jenn made the class feel welcoming for me and a comfortable yet challenging environment. I was grateful for Jenn showing all the movements before having us do them, that is probably what I was most nervous for. was having to remember what everything was called.

Jennifer did a great job today. She explained each exercise thoroughly and answered any questions that I had. She even fell for a bad Dad Joke that I threw at her. She kept the class motivated and inspired us to do the best that we could do.

5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ There is something truly special about this gym, and it starts with Coach Jen. No matter what kind of morning I am having or what health challenges I may be facing, she is always right there with a smile, motivation, and the kind of energy that gets me going. She does not just lead us through workouts, she uplifts us. She makes everyone feel seen, capable, and stronger, not just physically but mentally and emotionally too. The impact she has had on my life reaches far beyond the gym floor. She has helped me build confidence, consistency, and a mindset that I carry into every part of my day. This place is not just about fitness. It is about community, support, and becoming the best version of yourself inside and out. And I have to mention the coach who runs the coffee shop, Coach Kahyla. She is always there with helpful guidance about nutrition and wellness. Whether it is a quick suggestion, encouragement to make healthier choices, or just someone to check in with about your goals, she plays such an important role in keeping us on track. The jiu-jitsu program offered next door with Coach Ron has also been an amazing addition. It is a powerful outlet that builds discipline, confidence, and mental toughness. It pushes you in a different way and complements everything we do in the gym. The physical and emotional benefits carry over into everyday life and add even more depth to this incredible community. This gym has become a part of my life in the best way possible. I am so thankful to be a part of it.

I love coming to Tried and true because of Jens positive and energetic attitude. Today's WOD was a hero workout for flight 800 and Jenn explained the background of the story so we could reflect why we were there. It was a hard workout but not as hard as the families of flight 800 had it.

Kathy, as always, was prepared and eager to lead the class. For each exercise during the class she demonstrated the move and expounded on parts that were to be focused upon, especially those we sometimes get sloppy on. She made modifications for me today as needed due to my current physical therapy. Well done, Coach Kathy!

Kahyla did great today when I dropped in! She was friendly and made me feel apart of the class. The direction she gave me on my deadlift form was helpful and I felt better about my lifts going into the workout. I would definitely try to make it in for another class if I’m in the area!!

Let’s face it. As a beginner, CrossFit can be intimidating and there is a lot of hesitation from someone new to the sport. However, Coach Jenn is super easy to work with, makes everyone feel welcome, explains things in an easy to understand way, and also brings some humor to class, which I appreciate.
