I am new to CrossFit. Nathan really helped me scale the workout today to help me feel successful, yet get a good workout without hurting myself. I am 2 weeks in and really enjoy the variety of workouts. Feeling better already….very sore, but in a good way. :).
Small details- “push with your whole foot doing deadlift…” real feedback I can use that helps me do it right is what Carl as well as all the coaches are great at. I’ve steadily increased my strength by paying attention to these small details and appreciate them for it. Especially during the many micro conversations throughout the session a lot is learned.
Chris has been great! I am newer to CrossFit and he always is helping me figure out what scale would work best for me. My confidence has grown significantly in the short amount of time I’ve been there.

Sue is a great coach! She is patient and really takes the time to guide me through each movement, making sure my form is correct and the pace feels right for my level. She’s helpful in suggesting adjustments when something feels too difficult and encouraging in a way that makes me want to keep going even when it gets tough. Sue is fun and I get a good workout tailored to my level, with a good mix of strength and cardio that leaves me feeling strong and energized after class.
Michelle is always so great with my daughter. She speaks to her like an equal and not like a little child. She is so positive and motivates her in a way that I cannot. Penelope leaves in a great mood with growing confidence every single time. We love Michelle!

I attended my first CrossFit class ever last night and I absolutely loved it! I’ve done kickboxing, soccer, weight training, personal training but I’ve always found it could never keep my interest. It always feels like a chore but a class or two a week of this would be so manageable I absolutely loved the pace of the class and how each exercise built onto the next. My trainer also was able to explain the purpose of each lift and give more precise pointers in one class than any coach I’ve ever had has given. I’m currently trying to recruit some friends to go with I loved it so much!

I just recently started group classes at Sycamore CrossFit , and it's been great. Carl has run the classes I've taken so far. I appreciate how present and attentive he is, especially with form and pacing. I never felt rushed or lost in the group. The workouts are challenging but well explained, and scaling feels normal, not awkward. The gym is clean, organized, and runs smoothly, which makes it easy to focus on the work instead of the logistics. What stands out most is the overall feel. It's focused but relaxed, supportive without being overbearing. First impressions matter, and this was a good one.
Gwen is confident, knowledgeable, and cheerful. She has a contagious smile and motivates us to be our best. Five stars!

What was the highlight of today's workout? Learning modifications that help me scribe my fitness goals. The coach at Sycamore CrossFit took the time to explain each adjustment clearly, showing me how to adapt movements without losing their effectiveness. It felt empowering to discover ways to tailor the workout to my current abilities while still pushing toward progress. This personalized approach made the session feel not only challenging but also achievable, which keeps me motivated to come back and improve. Being able to connect my goals directly to the exercises gave the workout real purpose, and I left feeling confident about my path forward.
I appreciated the positive feedback on my form, I also appreciated him showing concern for my shoulder which has been a point of concern for a while.

Sue is very encouraging and adapts the workout to my capabilities but also gently increasing the difficulty.
First time back in a CrossFit box in 10 years. Carl coached the morning session and stacked up a nice WOD mixing cardio and pull-ups. Afterwards, members there came up and gave me fist bumps and kudos for job well done and Welcome to Sycamore CrossFit. The community and coaches attention given to each member is just what I need right now. Will be back!

Coach Michelle is great! I love having her as a coach. She always has a positive attitude and a contagious smile. She’s very encouraging and makes sure to check in with everyone individually prior to the start of the workout.
I have been so nervous to come back and Sue makes every class feel like you belong. She’s so supportive, explains things well, and offers great guidance on where to challenge or taking it slow. She constantly checks on certain movements for participants when it involves a known injury or challenge. It has made coming back so much less stressful and fun :) appreciate sue!

Great workout. Super kind people. A lot of laughs. Coach kept us moving and gave great instructions along the way. I would highly recommend attending a class. If you are new, the hardest part is walking through the door, after that the coach walks you through every step of the way.
I have attended 5 or 6 workouts so far. Great facility! Welcoming community and supportive coaches. Highly recommend!!

Michelle is a great coach! She always has modifications ready for me, helps me with my form and motivates me. She encourages me to try harder without being a drill sergeant type of coach- I love when she coaches class- we laugh a lot, high five and get a good work out in. I’m learning so much from her and the sycamore CrossFit team.

From the moment I started, she has been an incredible source of knowledge, motivation, and positive energy. Michelle's encouragement is infectious. No matter the workout or how challenging it is, she always finds a way to make you believe in yourself. She celebrates every victory, big or small, and her enthusiasm makes even the toughest days feel manageable. Her ability to push you to your limits while keeping things fun and supportive is a rare talent. I am blessed to have her as a coach!
