Charlie has a gift for coaching. He demonstrates proper movement well and often illustrates in a unique way that makes it so clear. Like today, showing us how to lift slowly with power by placing a band on a kettle ball and showing how it raises only with a slow pull on the band. I like his warm ups that often offer something different. He is attentive no matter the class size and offers form correction when I need it, encourages me to push myself, and is always offering a fist bump. Honestly, Charlie is one of the best and I always enjoys his Friday class.

It’s always a hoot taking a class with Jess! I love her tips, but I particularly love her, “don’t do this” tips. Hilarious and gets the point across. We always start her classes with laughter.I love her focus on form and great cues. 5 ⭐️

Tam is always so helpful with all of the things! Whether it's adjusting my attitude when I’m feeling off, correcting my form so I don’t risk injury, or giving that extra encouragement to keep pushing through a tough set, she’s there to help in every way. Just today, when I was about to quit halfway through the workout at Swift River CrossFit, I heard Tam’s voice saying, "You got this Carey-Ann!" That simple but powerful boost pulled me back in and, you know what? I did it! The way she stays right there, watching closely, offering advice and motivation exactly when you need it, makes all the difference in pushing past my limits. Her support turns a challenging workout into something I can actually conquer and feel proud of.
Both Heather and Brie were attentive to my need for modifications as I returned to the gym after a month’s absence. They both checked in with me throughout to ensure I was doing okay. I love how dialed in all the coaches are to the members. Love them all and the gym! It’s my happy place so excited to be back!

I’ve always been a little hesitant about joining CrossFit—or gyms in general—but working with Jim at Swift River CrossFit has been a great experience. He’s super patient, encouraging, and makes everything feel approachable, even if you’re brand new. He takes the time to explain movements and really meets you where you’re at. Jim makes me feel welcome. I am being challenged but not pushed too much. I have already noticed a change in my overall energy levels and am able to do more than I thought I would be able to do. I am really enjoying my workouts.

All was good . The journey is going well and looking at extending my plan another 12 weeks. Today was different as it was full for a change , some equipment issues but not coach related . Enjoying my fitness improvement with Heather .
Heather was very thorough in helping me at my first class. She helped me w my form and weigh choices. I enjoyed the class. It was challenging for me as these exercises are a bit different but I do enjoy the process and the other members in the class. I felt very supported by Heather and look forward to my next class!

The class went very efficiently even though it was a relatively complicated workout with partners switching off doing minute intervals. Transition time had to be quick. She seems to be good at noticing individual needs during the workout and giving instruction where needed.
Great class today. I dropped in as a visitor and felt welcome immediately. Setup was different than I’m used to from my home box, but between the coaches and the community there, I was caught up quick. I’ll be back before continuing my travels!

Jim regularly offers useful advice on technique & strategy to optimize a safe & effective workout. Today in particular Jim made sure to check in with me regarding a minor hamstring injury I was dealing with from last week before we did heavy squats to make sure I had a plan to get in an effective workout without potentially further injuring myself. Thank you Jim !

My experience so far (joined in July) has been more than I expected. Tamara and really all the coaches have been motivational, details are so important to them and their coaching skills are top notch. Although waking up at 4 is still a little hard, the reward I feel after class keeps me going! I love it!!

After almost 3 weeks away on vacation, and it being super hot. I got through the wod. I learned proper knee movement for deadlifts.. always good to learn new techniques
He explained the workout and movements well, the snatch + snatch balance walk through and warmup was helpful. Seemed like he was able to watch and cue all of us in a crowded class

We dropped in today and the class was big with a 12 Days of Christmas WOD - many movements and lots of people- Tamara was great, she explained what the WOD was, took everyone through all the movements and got the class ready for the class. During the wod Tamara made sure to watch all the participants and make corrections and encourage everyone. Great gym, happy we dropped in there.

I always look forward to dropping by SWC when visiting. April and Jess greeted me and welcomed me back. Workouts were well explained with an opportunity to ask questions if needed. Coaches were walking around intra workout encouraging, ensuring we were engaging proper muscles/ movements.
As always, Jim is attentive. He observes progress and adapts my workouts accordingly. He is quick to correct form to ensure safety and increase challenge to maximize results for my efforts. He listens to feedback and includes exercises that appeal to my intrests as well as keep me moving towards my goals. He also shares his knowledge and I learn quite a bit throughout the workout. I'm always challenged and never bored. Furthermore, I'm seeing results!Thanks Jim for all you do!

First class and it was so much fun!! I was really nervous going into it , but that was all relieved when I stepped into the door and was immediately greeted with a partner for the class.
Aimee always takes class seriously but can chime in for some solid jokes to make class fun. I always feel good after leaving her class!
I tweaked my back and was really hesitant to go to class the next day. I decided to attend Jim’s class despite the pain. After seeing that the WOD required heavy clean and jerks and 90 wall balls I decided to inform Jim about my back. After asking me a few questions, Jim took the time to walk me through a few scaled options to make sure I was comfortable and safe while still getting a good workout. Throughout the class he was very attentive and made sure I was doing ok. He also suggested some really good stretches at the end of the class to release a lot of the tension in my back. I’m pleased to report that not only I had a great workout but my back is feeling much better. Thank you Jim!!! I highly recommend Jim as a coach! You will not be disappointed.
Charlie is a fantastic coach!! He is friendly and welcoming and his obvious passion for CrossFit makes him such a supportive coach. Jim did really well. I like his laid--back attitude and friendly demeanor. I can hear him well, and he makes it clear that we are there to do the best we can,; we are not in competition with each other.
Jim’s training techniques are awesome he knows when to push and when to change it up so each work out is challenging but not discouraging you feel good when the work out is done .

Gabriel did a fine job of running the class. One thing that she does well is very clear direction. Meaning that she speaks clearly and loud enough so everyone can hear. In addition she managed the time very well. We used the whole hour effectively. She is all business.

After being off for a month or so, Mimi and April eased me back into programming. I was scared to go back, but those fears went away during the stretching period.
Class was fun well run with great instruction and very helpful. Instruction on my form is always appreciated as I don’t get to workout with a coach often so thank you for that. And as I’m new I didn’t know where anything were in the gym it was awesome that she was there to lead the way. Thank you!

Class today with Coach Paul and Coach Aimee was just awesome. SRCF has a great vibe with all the athletes there that put in the work no matter what level you’re at with your fitness plan. Paul and Aimee have created the best place to workout in the Mt Washington Valley with an exceptional coaching staff.
Jess is so enthusiastic, she makes everyone work happier. She speaks loudly enough and slowly enough to understand her directions. Her energy and attitude are so positive my spirit is uplifted every time I take a class with her. Go Jess. 😍

This was not my first time dropping in from out of town. I came back because it was an amazing experience before and it was even better this time! The coaches gave me tips and feedback on how to improve and the other members are super welcoming and it’s a great vibe! Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get fit and have fun!
I always appreciate Jim’s coaching style. As the gym gets more popular I seek classes that are not packed which provides a better experience for me.
My right knee was hurting a bit on 315 deadlifts. Heather recommended I narrow my stance — problem solved. Finished the workout free of joint discomfort. Boom!
Per usual Bri was fantastic; she takes the time to get to know our personalities and how to push us or modify really well based on especially my personality and pushing me thru any mental barriers with a laugh and a smile

Jess gave me a great cue to help improve my form on my deadlifts. It made a big difference!
Tam is always checking in with each athlete and team, trying to give efficiency tips when she can. Class was outlined clearly, expectations were set. I always appreciate Tam’s guidance.

I love going to class when Tam is coaching. She is always generous with her knowledge and willing to help all the athletes to be as successful as possible. Coach Charlies brings lots of good energy and I have been having so much fun in his Wednesday afternoon class.

April is always on point, ready to go and very clear on how the workout should go. She’s a big fan of CrossFit and leads by example. Although there are no bad coaches at SRCF, April is my favorite, for these reasons and more.
