If you've been thinking about prioritizing yourself and your health; no more excuses, just do it. I swan dived 18 months ago, and I have zero regrets. At 47, I have built muscle, built bone, made new friends, and challenged my status quo. I may not know how to sew, knit, or play the piano, but I can dead hang for over 2 minutes, farmer's carry 75% of my body weight, and I outperformed my friends who challenged me to a handstand competition in the hotel hobby (yes, this happened). It's important to have goals and priorities-- I can easily lift and carry a huge bag of dog food, and most times I can get all of the groceries in the house in one trip. Most importantly, I laugh at something Coach Daniel says at every 12:15 class, thus releasing a cocktail of beneficial neurotransmitters and hormones which reduces the level of stress-related chemicals in my bloodstream. Just join already because, science.
Reaction is one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to quite a few). The space is well kept and clean, the coaching staff is attentive and knows what they’re doing, and the people have become some of my best friends. If you’re trying to work on something in particular, all you have to do is tell someone and there will be MULTIPLE people to help you work toward it. Reaction is an inclusive, lovely and great place to get a solid workout in with some amazing people— whether you’re just dropping in or a member! Being downtown doesn’t hurt either when you want to snag a coffee or a beer with friends when you’re done sweating!
Coaches are always encouraging and meet you where you’re at each day! Programming is dynamic and the friends I’ve made here are some of the best I’ve ever had
Reaction has options for everyone trying to improve their fitness. The coaches have helped me improve immensely and I feel more capable at 36 then I did in my 20s
I love having Cody as a coach! He explains and demonstrates the movements well and makes sure our form is correct. And I stay motivated with his music playlists during the workout. ;) He’s great! Thanks Cody!
Kaitlan really helped me with my snatch grip stance on Friday. I have really enjoyed the programming at Reaction…. In the last 6 weeks since I started I have lost 13 pounds!
Daniel is one of the best coaches at Reaction! He is so kind, motivating and encouraging. He really cares about everyone in the Reaction community as people first, athletes second.
Carrie is an awesome coach. She really pushes you to work hard but not beyond your limits. I truly enjoy her classes when I am able to attend.

Really enjoyed it. Tough but fun workout. Don’t always like partner WODs because there can be a big variability in ability between you and your partner.
