First time with this coach. Have been “on pause” for two months due to travel and he was excellent and gave clear helpful instructions. Several of my classmates hollered out “It’s Brian!” and “Welcome back!” as I walked in the door. That was a wonderful thing, I won’t soon forget. It meant a lot because I was nervous about the workout after my long layoff.
What’s one personal change you’ve noticed since joining Persevere CrossFit? I’ve been coming to Persevere CrossFit for a year and I can think of no better group of trainers to work under in trying to maintain health and strength. The coaches are individuals who are dedicated to the growth, development, nutrition, and bodily health of those of us training there. They maintain a professionalism that is committed, friendly and instructional. The group classes are strenuous but rewarding, and my individual instruction under Kristen Kacsanek has resulted in needed weight loss, increased strength and positive attitude. I can think of no better place to train and plan on continuing there for a long time.
I never look forward to gym day but am always so glad I went. The coaches are motivational, approachable and show genuine concern for your health. I especially like how they spend the time to make sure you are using the proper technique for each exercise.
I started at Persevere at my friend Oscar’s recommendation and I was very nervous to come. I had gotten a total knee replacement a little over a year before and I was worried about keeping up with the class. Not only did the coaches make it easy and fun, but the other members welcomed us with open arms. I’ve been able to push myself to do things I thought I would never be able to do again and have become closer to my friends and myself because of Perserve! I will recommend this gym to everyone.
Persevere CrossFit is not a gym, it’s a family where everyone supports each other and grows together. This is where athletes are built and coaches are born, where friendships are formed and the soul and stress are healed. Here, we don’t just lift weights, we lift confidence and determination. Proud to be part of it.
I highly recommend Persevere CrossFit because the owners, Jess and Josh, truly prioritize people over workouts, and that focus has had a big impact on my overall health and well-being. From day one, they took the time to understand my goals, past injuries, and used that information to help me train smarter. The coaches are always engaged and consistently check in between sessions about recovery, stress, sleep, and nutrition, which has helped me improve not just fitness but day-to-day energy and resilience. Jess and Josh foster a tight-knit community where members know each other’s names, celebrate milestones, and hold each other accountable, making it much easier to stay consistent long term. Since joining, I’ve seen improvements in strength, cardiovascular endurance, and mobility that carry over into everyday life. Just as importantly, the combination of challenging workouts, coaching support, and a positive environment has helped reduce stress and boosted my mood and overall well-being. Thank you Jess, Josh, and all the coaches for contributing to my overall health and making Persevere CrossFit a major part of my health journey.
I have been coming to this gym for about a month now and I love it! I can confidently say every coach at Persevere CrossFit has definitely improved my workout form and confidence. The coaches provide clear, personalized guidance that helps me understand the correct techniques. This has made me feel more secure during workouts as well as giving me positive vibes and motivation to keep pushing myself in the workouts. Overall 10/10 and would be 11/10 if we added Taylor Swift to the playlist 🥰
The workout was good, but I ~DESPISE~ overhead squats and snatches. The following are 100% Travis-specific issues. Lack of familiarity leads to light weight and feeling like I’m not actually working, soreness in areas that I don’t have the strength, typically it results in low-strain injuries like streaks in my shoulders and back, etc. I think it was a good workout and followed suit with our strength cycle, I just have a personal disdain for snatches and OH squats. This workout, as well as Tues/Weds this week were MUCH shorter than previous weeks which I think is a good thing to an extent because all athletes should be staying for the cooldown. Long classes = running over time = no cooldown and stretch.
Coach Miller is very organized and communicates expectations very well. I like that everyone in the community works hard but also can have a good time cracking jokes with each another.
I work with Josh and Kristen. Both are excellent Coaches and better friends. I recommend PCF to all that I know.
I’ve been going to Persevere CrossFit for a month now and I’ve really enjoyed it. They make you feel welcomed from the start, ALL coaches are supportive, and the atmosphere keeps you motivated. Jess has also been really supportive and encouraging along the way. Great place to train. Recommend 200%
At Persevere CrossFit, you join a community that pushes you to your next level, whether that means losing weight or preparing for your next competition. The energy in the gym is contagious. Everyone is focused and committed, creating a motivating atmosphere that makes you want to give your best. The coaches at Persevere CrossFit take the time to help you improve your workouts by closely observing your form, offering clear guidance on technique, and encouraging you to keep going when the workout gets tough. Their motivation feels personal and genuine, not just a routine pep talk. Because of that attention, every session feels productive and rewarding, and you can see your progress week by week.
I can’t say enough good things about Persevere CrossFit. Since starting here, I’ve lost roughly 20 pounds while gaining lean muscle, which is the kind of trade you actually want. More importantly, my mobility and flexibility have improved dramatically. I’m running again for longer distances at a faster pace, with minimal to no knee pain, which honestly felt out of reach not that long ago. The coaching is intentional, the programming is smart, and the community keeps you accountable without ego or nonsense. This has translated directly into a better quality of life day to day. Stronger, leaner, moving better, and enjoying it. That’s a win.
Finally scheduling an appointment to meet Jess, November 2024 was the best thing I’ve done for myself in a long time. I had no clue what CrossFit was but had crossed 50, had a desire to get into shape, and had driven past the gym so many times wondering if I could do it. I’ve still got a long journey ahead, but I’m also accomplishing so many things that I thought would be impossible the first time I tried. The community at Perservere couldn’t be any better. Positive peer pressure and constant encouragement help me to grind through tough workouts. I will also note that I’ve had two different injuries that I picked up outside the gym. But Jess and the coaches worked with me to find different workout options which allowed me to stay very active, yet also fully recover. Not having to take weeks off to recover was amazing. Safety and proper technique are taught everyday. Come join us!
Jessica has created an amazing culture that leads to not just a healthier lifestyle physically, but mentally. Persevere has become a lifeline for me that reaches far beyond just a gym.
best gym i have found. the best community and coaches ever!
- Jess provided good feedback on form and played decent heavy metal, instead of pop music
