Just finished an incredible full body workout with Coach Cristian!!! The class was intense and challenging, but Coach Cristian really knows how to push you to your limits. He kept me motivated throughout the class encouraging me to give it my all and to not give up when things got tough. If you’re looking for a serious workout that will push you to be your best, then I highly recommend training with Coach Cristian or any of the coaches at Mean Green!!!

At the same time, he pushed me to lift heavier weights, encouraging me to challenge myself beyond what I thought was possible. That balance of support and challenge made the session feel productive and energizing. It wasn’t just about going through the motions - Cristian’s guidance kept me focused and determined the entire time.

Excellent class! Mean Green Gym (3rd Ward) delivered a true full-body workout that pushed every muscle group - from strength-building lifts to dynamic cardio moves - making it both challenging and fun. The instructor kept the energy high throughout, encouraging everyone with specific tips and motivating reminders that helped me keep proper form and stay focused. I left feeling stronger, energized, and genuinely accomplished, like I had given my all but still enjoyed every minute. Highly recommend!

Both coaches were extremely patient and intentional, taking the time to talk me through each exercise while focusing on proper form and breathing. That level of coaching made a huge difference for me and helped build confidence in my movements. As an active duty service member, organized physical training is already part of my daily routine. What I appreciate about Mean Green is that the training is truly total body focused and purposeful, not just pushups, situps, and running. The workouts feel intentional and designed to build strength, endurance, and overall performance. Mean Green is not your typical gym. The environment is warm, welcoming, and family based. It honestly feels like working out with your cousins. Everyone encourages each other, holds you accountable, and wants to see you succeed. I am grateful for the opportunity to train at this facility and excited to see who I become over the next 90 days. This gym represents growth, community, and consistency, and I am thankful to be part of it.
Coach Cristian did an awesome job today. I was dealing with some back pains, so he carefully assisted me by suggesting alternate workouts that didn’t put strain on my back. He paid close attention to my form, making sure I was comfortable and safe throughout the session. The way he personalized the exercises helped me stay active without discomfort, and I left feeling stronger and more confident about my recovery. It was clear he knew exactly how to adjust the routine to fit my needs, which made the whole workout both effective and manageable at Mean Green Gym (3rd Ward).

On top of that, she gave needed encouragement at just the right moments - her support helped me push through when I felt like giving up. Coach Cristian was amazing! I was very impressed with his knowledge and caring spirit! Although this was a “class” Coach Cristian addressed individual needs of those that required it. As a new client- he asked what my disabilities or concerns were- and he actually listened- because he adjusted the workout because of what was said! That shows that he listens, and is knowledgeable in his craft - because he made sure a good workout was still accomplished! That was very impressive and appreciated.
Cristian is an exceptional gym instructor! He brings a positive, friendly attitude that boosts morale for the entire class. What truly sets him apart is his commitment to proper form—he provides clear, helpful demonstrations before the workout, and consistently checks in during the exercises to offer corrections and encouragement. A perfect example of his tailored help: during a session with hanging knee raises, he helped me set up a step/support under the bar. This allowed me to tap my toes down to rest in the hanging position, letting me focus on movement control and the drive of my knees on the return. No matter the question, he’s happy to stop and provide a thorough, helpful answer. Thanks to Cristian, our group workouts are always effective and positive!
Today workout was amazing. The first part of the workout was good but the second part caught me off guard. Overall today workout I would love to see more like it. Now Coach Cristian motivated us to finish the workout.

It's always a vibe with Coach Chuck at 6:15. He is not a loud coach but he guides and pushes you subtly as he cleverly gets you to push yourself to do more. I appreciate the difference in his style, his music is a vibe too.

David met me with great energy on my first day of class. He immediately made me feel welcomed and part of the group. He is very nice, patient, encouraging and understanding of any modifications needed. David took the time to explain how to use the equipment and provided frequent guidance and check-ins on my progress during class. Outstanding Coach! Would give him a 10 + rating if I could!
Amazing strength focused gym in the Houston area! All of the coaches (Chris, Christian, I'Jrian) @ the 3rd Ward location are super knowledgeable, attentive and high energy. In addition to the fun classes, they also offer recovery (sauna, cold plunge & compression) making it a one stop shop for all of your wellness needs. The best part about Mean Green is that you're guaranteed to see RESULTS, whether it is weight loss, body composition, strength, endurance or all of the above!!

He did excellent. It was my first day at the gym so he gave me a tour and explained each workout thoroughly. During the workout he kept the energy high and continued to walk around and correct technique.

The class was just as intense as I remembered! While the cool-down walk wasn’t technically part of the workout, it was a thoughtful way to ease out of the session. A coach’s energy really sets the tone, and yours always makes a big difference- you’re consistently great!

I just wanted to say—today’s workout completely wiped me out (in the best way)! I’m exhausted, lol, but I feel great. I really appreciated how comfortable and motivated I felt throughout the entire session. You did an awesome job encouraging us and clearly explaining each workout, which made it easier to stay focused and push through. Also, the warm-up and cool-down were a huge plus. It felt so much better easing into the workout instead of jumping straight in. Thank you for putting thought into the flow of the session. You’re doing an amazing job—can’t wait for the next one (once I recover a little 😅)!
Mean green always has the best workouts now about David. He is a great coach when he sees your mind is telling you no he is there to remind you that you can do it! I mean, it probably sounds like “ run like the Beyoncé concert is about to start” or “ I need you to run like the gates about to close at the airport” but it works 😂 thank you!

This was my first class in several years that I have attended. He was very attentive and helpful to me, as there were equipment that I didn't know how to use, and I'm a young Senior. Class was great, and Cristian is a good Coach/Instructor.

Dewayne was super helpful today during the clang and bang session. I was struggling with my power cleans and hang cleans at first, but he was very attentive and gave me the coaching I needed to properly execute them! I rave all the time about the 1-on-1 support I receive at this gym (even when there are 15+ people in the class). It’s amazing.
Oshia is very clear when explaining the exercises and great at motivating everyone. I love working out in her classes!

Cristian is great. He does a great job of explaining the exercises and making his way around the gym to ensure everyone is comfortable and has good form. Also, he has great energy all throughout the class.
Cristian provided a very detailed and organized but yet rigid in endurance lesson on today. He pushed all athletes to their max potential but yet allowed grace to each of us when he identified we were in need of it and this assisted all of us to be able to complete the lesson in totality. Overall, I feel that it was a great workout and I look forward to the accomplishments that I can make in the future with this program.

I thoroughly enjoyed today’s class. While I’m not typically a fan of hang cleans, I do appreciate the mental toughness that comes with challenging myself in this way. I would particularly enjoy more strength-focused sessions, especially in the mornings, with an emphasis on weightlifting. One suggestion I have is to incorporate instructional videos on the TVs, demonstrating how to use various machines effectively, particularly regarding hand positioning to target specific muscle groups. Overall, I found the class to be extremely valuable. You addressed all of my questions thoroughly, and I am looking forward to returning to the lab for my next session.
