I feel so grateful to have found Fit After 50 SoCal Fitness Studio in Lakewood Village. The instructors—every single one—are outstanding and always attentive, offering helpful corrections to ensure proper form. It’s the perfect balance of encouragement and challenge. As someone returning to exercise, I felt genuinely welcomed from day one. Unlike larger gyms that can feel intimidating or impersonal, this studio creates a friendly and supportive atmosphere where everyone is made to feel comfortable. I just took Maryann’s strength class and left feeling invigorated! She introduced some new movements I hadn’t tried before, and it was an excellent, challenging, well-rounded strength based workout. This type of workout is so important for women over 50 years old. I highly recommend Fit After 50 to anyone looking for a positive, motivating, and community-oriented fitness experience.
Rob’s knowledge of yoga.is evident in every class and he focuses on what participants may express as needed. It is obvious that he cares about meeting participants’ needs and his gentle demeanor makes his lessons almost spiritual.
Khrisna led a great class today. I like her format and enjoy her energy and enthusiasm.

Excellent workout. Challenging, but do-able. Good ratio of straight cardio to weight-cardio. Always like the stretching at the end - wish there was time for more.

Maryann was great! We keep moving. The set combinations had enough difficulty to keep the class engaged. At the end of class I felt energized and knew that I had exercised!!

I absolutely loved Mary’s Pilates class today! She was incredibly mindful of correct posture and made sure each exercise was done with perfect form. It was a fantastic and effective session, and I can’t wait for the next class!
I enjoyed my class with Marie today. She was very understanding about my limitations due to injuries I have and gave me modifications. I couldn't do all the exercises but I hope as I continue to go with Marie's guidance I will get better at it.
I appreciate her knowledge and enthusiasm. Ensures we use proper body mechanics. For example, when holding a free weight she corrected my wrist position and it made a difference and challenged my muscles.

Khrisna’s class is always full of energy! She is the most fun and encouraging instructor. She makes working out fun but so challenging! I’d love to see more classes with her!!!

Siera's coaching is great! She was very clear with her instructions and actively walked around to help. I particularly appreciated hearing her offer a modification to someone. That kind of attentiveness makes a huge difference, especially when you've experienced the opposite.
Siera provides great instruction on how to execute exercises. She is always positive and motivating. I appreciate that she checks form and offers tips to get the most out of the work outs in the safest way. I really enjoy her classes .
Class was awesome! Since I am always too mental, class has increased my mine-body awareness. It helps me stay in the present, & improve mental-emotional clarity. I’ve learned to breathe better, which helps me relax & regulate my mood. I just love this class.

As always, Khrisna’s workout was challenging but fun! I love her classes. She is always bubbly, enthusiastic but ensures students are using proper form. She always reminds us to rest when needed. She is tough but caring!!

Khrisna meets individual needs and provides outstanding modeling for everyone in the class.
I like this class because she doesn't push you too much, does bench stretching, and instructs you exactly how to do the weight lifting.

Khrisna is my fav instructor. She’s always super upbeat and attentive. She gives specific choices so you can individualize, and is so quick to give modifications. It’s a tough workout, but goes by quickly. Khrisna always makes it fun.
I love yoga classes with Rob! I always learn something new about our practice but most importantly, his choice of poses always make me feel more flexible, stronger and in less pain than before class.
I enjoyed it very much! Zach, you were very helpful. Also, I was proud of myself, and was able to keep up. The women were lovely. Looking forward to all the different classes.
Zach is a great instructor, trainer and coach! He is helpful, encouraging and provides positive pointers to improve during workouts. Remains kind and considerate of individuals and added in with that, has a good sense of humor which makes his classes enjoyable.

The workouts are tough but good-
Loved it! My first class met my expectations. Coach Siera helped correct my positions for joint safety. She was very welcome. The other ladies in class were great!
Siera's evening class is perfect at the end of a long day. The class has a good pace, and she does an excellent job of describing the steps for each exercise.
Class was great. Carla adapted well to larger size class. She explains every exercise and corrects when needed. I enjoy her class very much
I loved the format of today's class. I enjoy circuits when we move from station to station, but I felt like we had more active time by working out at our own stations today.
Carla is a very well knowledgeable trainer at the Fit after 50 gym..I enjoy EVERY single class I take with her..she challenges me in her exercises and makes working out FUN!! KEEP IT UP CARLA!!

Maggie is an awesome instructor! She makes sure to cover the workout routine for each body part with precise weights and technique that results in the best possible exercises results. I really feel I get a great work out in all her classes.
It was a great class. Just the right amount of challenge! Would be good to offer both the standard and the modified version upfront so it isn’t necessary to ask for the easier way to do any given exercise.. : )
