Mel L and Mel A are fantastic- super supportive, knowledgeable, and endlessly encouraging. They’re great at modifying excersises (I am recovering from injuries) so I can keep progressing safely and without feeling held back in class. Highly recommend!
What’s one breakthrough you’ve had at Deep Roots Fitness? Brianna has offered modifications to some of the exercises we do and they have helped so much. She is clearly watching and there to help us do our best workout.

Great class today with Leah! It was first time going in on a Saturday. Leah was there when I had questions or was looking for options to do a particular exercise. It's a fun group and the class structure keeps me pushing myself.
Mel keeps a great balance between having fun and inspiring energy that makes us want to work our hardest. I always leave her classes feeling proud of my output.
Mel makes every class fun and comfortable for all skill levels , has great scaling options for any issue someone might have , keeps class fun but still intense and fulfilling
Melissa made sure to check in on everyone before we started the workout to make sure we were all setup. She also does a nice job at walking around the gym during the workout and cheers you on and makes sure your form still looks good as you get fatigued. She is a great coach!

I was a little nervous about coming back to this style of workout after so long, but those fears were quickly dissipated once class began. With movement reviews and encouragement, I felt right at home and am excited to come again!

I think coach Adams does a good job making sure I'm exercising with good form by closely watching my movements and correcting me when my posture starts to slip. This attention really helps me avoid injuries, which gives me confidence to push myself during the workouts. She also encourages me every step of the way, offering motivating words that keep me going even when the exercises get tough. Her support makes the sessions at Deep Roots Fitness feel personalized and keeps me focused on improving safely.
The Legends class is a great workout and fun from start to finish. The mix of strength and cardio exercises kept my heart rate up without feeling overwhelming, and the variety made each round engaging. Everyone in the class is extremely friendly and supportive, creating a welcoming atmosphere where you feel encouraged to push yourself but never judged. I can’t find my coach’s name on the dropdown menu, but Chantelle stood out with her knowledgeable guidance and friendly approach. She was very encouraging throughout, offering adjustments to form and motivating everyone to keep going even when the burn set in. Chantelle’s energy and clear instructions made the session flow smoothly and kept me focused. She’s great, and I’m looking forward to her next class at Deep Roots Fitness!
Every class with Mel encourages me to work out harder and smarter. Mel has this friendly bootcamp vibe… somehow makes you want to do the plank properly and not cheat on the squats. When Mel tells me I can handle the 15lb kettlebell I trust it (and equally when that the 20lb wall balls will take me out haha.) I feel like each workout is getting the most out of me and I’m getting the most out of it. Thanks, Mel!

With the patience of Leonardo sketching his thousandth study and the passion of Michelangelo staring up at the Sistine Chapel ceiling, she guides, refines, and occasionally commands us into greatness. Quads become works of art, deadlifts become poetry, and even the most chaotic WOD becomes a symphony of movement. When Mel provides feedback, I never hear her say a position or movement is "wrong." Instead she provides a reminder of what the movement and position should look like, compare it to where I'm at, and encourage me to make the adjustments for a more effective movement. I think when she does demonstrations from a profile view it really helps me understand things like hip angles and the correct alignments for my reference points.
Mel is a great coach. She is patient, fun and knowledgeable. She makes every student feel welcome and every class enjoyable.

It was a great first time experience. Although I do work out, I’ve never lifted before. The instructor was clear and kind. I didn’t feel rushed, and there was no “gym bro” attitude. Everyone worked at the level that was comfortable for them.
So glad to be able to come back to classes now that I can bend my leg!!
Nothing specific from class today, but I’ve appreciated how Mel has corrected my form in previous classes—it’s great knowing the coaches are paying attention and the feedback always helps!

What’s not to like about taking a class with Mel Adam’s? She’s a great coach with an attention to detail, noticing all the little things in your form and giving practical tips to help you improve. I am really enjoying both the form and the flow classes because they work on flexibility and core strength. I also like how Meg explains us through each pose and gives visual examples.

Mel pushes me to the limit, encourages me, but also provides scaling options to make me feel good about what I’m doing. I cannot believe where I am physically compared to a couple years ago- and as a parent of two small kids I was coming from a place of not having worked out for many years in any significant way! I had to increase my membership so I could come more often!

Good workout. There seemed to be a lot of down time between lifts in the middle workout but maybe I just needed to add weight. Then maybe I would have needed more recovery time

Meg offered just the right amount of philosophical discourse and storytelling while explaining in simple terms what students should be doing with each body part. She demonstrated every movement, which I found helpful. And I liked that she’s offering a very timely heart-opening series as we all face a long winter ahead.
