Coach Paul killed it today—great cues on lifts, constant cheering, and solid push during strength without overdoing it. Workout was tough but well-run. This gym has been huge for me—helping me ease back into CrossFit after years away. The supportive, high-energy environment keeps me motivated.
Since joining CrossFit Surge, Paul and his team of trainers has helped me achieve goals and push beyond what I thought possible. Between the staff, the fellow members and the facility itself, everything is top notch. If you’re looking to push yourself to find what you’re capable of, I could not recommend this place more!!
Jim is a great coach. Takes time to explain movements will explain proper form in the moment, and is always encouraging. Beyond that he asks about personal goals in the gym and creates a plan toward reaching the goal. Live the support and community at Surge. So happy we joined!
The coaches and people make our Cross fit classes special. We are a family, there are no judgements and the coaches meet you where you are . We laugh together, cheer each other on and celebrate the victories together. Just showing up is a big win. I have made some life long friends 🧡 here at Cross fit. And I love it!!!
Paul gave great direction and guidance to help improve my form in between sets. He also gave great advice on stretching in between sets to help with my mobility in calves/shoulders. Overall, really enjoyed the session and will be going back for sure!
Paul does an awesome job of breaking down complex movements and working on the skills needed to do these properly and efficiently. The drills are unlike anything I have ever done and are incredibly helpful. Very happy with the coaching at CrossFit surge!
Although I’ve been doing CrossFit for some years, today was my first day back in over a month. The moment I walked into CrossFit Surge, the members were all amazing, warmly welcoming me back with smiles and encouraging words that instantly made me feel part of the community again. Even better, Coach Jim went out of his way to make sure I was fully prepared for class. He carefully assessed my current level, making sure I wasn’t pushing too hard too soon, and spent extra time working on my technique and form. He watched my movements closely, correcting small details and adjusting my movements to match where I was physically, which helped me regain confidence. That attention made the difference between just going through the motions and feeling solid and ready for the workout ahead. It felt great knowing I had that kind of support on my return.
Hyrox was great! Very challenging with lots of variety. Paul explained the routine clearly and demonstrated the exercises well. He also modified some exercises due to my arthritis which I appreciate, and made the class doable for me. It was a lot of fun! Looking forward to next time!!
This CrossFit gym is outstanding. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and truly care about proper form, safety, and long-term progress. Every workout is challenging but scalable, so whether you’re new to CrossFit or experienced, you feel supported. The community is very welcoming and motivating, which makes showing up every day easier. The facility is clean, well-organized, and has all the equipment needed for effective training. If you’re looking for a place that pushes you, holds you accountable, and feels like a real community, this is the gym.

I really love surge gym. It's a family working out together. We all work hard to finish our wod or hyrox. We push each other to go harder and push deeper to get the wod done. Paul and Steve are great coaches. I highly recommend this gym.

After being away from CrossFit for about two years (after nearly ten years of experience), coming back to the community at CrossFit Surge has been such a great decision. The coaches are incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, and they truly take the time to help with modifications as I work on getting back into shape. The gym itself is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up. Even with 15–20 members in the 5:30am class, there’s plenty of space and equipment for everyone, which makes workouts run smoothly and stress-free. We previously lived in a remote area and built our own workout space, but it just isn’t the same as having the energy, encouragement, and accountability that comes from a real CrossFit community. The support from both the coaches and fellow members at CrossFit Surge has reminded us why we fell in love with CrossFit in the first place. We’re truly happy to be back in the CrossFit community—and grateful to have found a home at CrossFit Surge.
As always Coach Steve is there to help you, motivate you, and give you feedback. The modifications are great when it’s something you struggle with and can’t do a particular movement yet. As always, a great family-like atmosphere.
The workout was excellent. It was my first time doing CrossFit, and the coach guided me through every step while still managing the session effectively for the rest of the group. The environment truly felt like a second home, and the coach’s encouragement and ability to push you in the best way possible made the experience even better.

Coach Paul is one of the greatest coaches you’ll find. He’s very attentive, constantly watching each movement and giving immediate feedback to help you improve your technique. He pushes to get the best out of you every day, but it’s clear he cares about doing it the right way. Unlike other coaches at other gyms, Paul has instilled in his entire staff a “safety first” mindset that really sets CrossFit Surge apart. When I first started, even though I knew I could lift the required weight, he had me work at a lighter weight to focus fully on my form. That attention to detail helped me avoid injury and build a strong foundation. As my form has gotten a lot better, Paul has gradually pushed me to lift heavier and go harder during workouts. He doesn’t just use one approach - he finds different ways to motivate everyone because he understands that not everyone responds the same way. Whether it’s offering encouragement, setting clear goals, or adjusting workouts to challenge you just right, he tailors his coaching to fit each person’s needs. I also love how Paul and his staff are always available for extra work before or after class. They spend real time with members individually, helping improve weaknesses or refining skills beyond the regular sessions. It’s clear they’re invested in bettering every person however they can. Paul is definitely a people person, and that shows in how he interacts day to day. His respectful and supportive approach makes everyone feel comfortable, so the gym feels less like just a place to work out and more like a community at CrossFit Surge.

How are you feeling after class? I felt really energized and accomplished. Jordan paid close attention to my form during the handstand walks and helped me adjust my posture, which made a big difference in how the movement felt. Really helped me through the WOD. I’ve been coming here for sometime and had difficulties with several movements. Jordan has always been very patient with me and taught me how to fully execute these moves. I would recommend this gym and coaches to anyone at any level of fitness.

Jim is awesome! He always keeps an eye out for improper movements and tells the member the corrections that need to be made. Plus he's always motivating people to push a little bit harder. He is a great guy and shows when he coaches.
Coach Jim did a great job. There was a lot of people in the class today but Jim does a really good job covering everyone and giving more attention to those who could use a little more. He keeps the class moving forward all while keeping it light and relaxed.
The today's 830 class was the best class ever.
