Crossfit Steadfast is the best gym in Wayne County! I’ve been going here for a year and have loved it. Recently i’ve had an injury that makes me have limitations in the gym. Evan and all of the coaches have customized and altered the workouts to ensure i’m getting in a great workout while also being mindful of my injury. If you are someone who has limitations or just questioning if Crossfit Steadfast is for you- I truly believe it is for anyone and everyone!
As someone who has never joined a gym before, I am loving going to CrossFit Steadfast. They really meet you where you are at - whether that’s your fitness level or comfort zone - and guide you forward in a way that feels challenging but doable. The workouts are a variety, mixing strength, cardio, and skill movements, so I never get bored and I’m always pushing myself in different ways. I’m already seeing a difference in my body from working out harder and more consistently, with muscles feeling stronger and my endurance improving. Huge bonus is the great community of people who cheer each other on and make every session feel welcoming and motivating. Another amazing part is being able to bring my 2-year-old along and have her there safely. There’s a designated space where she can play, so I can focus on my workout without worry! You will be so glad you tried Steadfast CrossFit!
So far, I have really enjoyed my experience at CrossFit Steadfast. David is a wonderful coach! He works hard to make personal connections with each member and provides unique encouragement to each person to help them get to the finish line.
First, all of the coaches are amazing. I always feel included and they always help me find a level where I can learn more and also succeed. All of the workouts are programmed well; there is never a “bad” workout at Steadfast.
I’ve never done CrossFit before, so this was the beginning of a healthy and wellness journey and of the unknown. Fortunately, it’s been a blessing to have joined CrossFit to help sustain my health and wellness for my future. Evan and crew have been extremely helpful in getting me stronger. I use to never be able to do a pull up in my life. But now, after being a member and having CrossFit as my routine for the last month, has shown tremendous strides in strength. Thanks to Evan and crew and healthy habits of diet and health, I am able to now do a banded pull up. This has been an amazing experience and love every minute of it, even in the midst of the box over burpees.

CrossFit Steadfast is great! As a former college athlete, it’s just what I was looking for after years of trying to do it on my own. I like having competition, but in an environment that feels like everyone is cheering you on, because they are!

I like the lighter days tues/Thursday. I would like to see more "mini" crossfit sessions as well during sweat. Some weight training then some sort circuits.
CrossFit steadfast has improved my life inside and outside of the gym. Each and every coach has helped me improve in some way. They are well organized, extremely competent, and highly motivating. They are also some of the nicest and most genuine people I have ever spent time exercising with. Week after week I see myself making new progress and setting new goals. I have the joy of seeing those around me doing the same. The attitude of the whole gym is positive and encouraging. I feel great when I'm there and feel great after I leave. I am getting healthier and stronger thanks to my coaches.

Every day I go to CrossFit, it’s not just to work out…… it’s also to see the people who make my day so much better. The coaches are amazing! The people are amazing! Everyone is always cheering you on and supporting you! You become a family. I absolutely love Steadfast and I’m so glad I found it!

Ryan always does a great job teaching movements and watching participants. One thing I love is that no matter how long you’ve been doing CF the coaches still coach. Continuous improvement is a great goal and the coaches all help us achieve that
I started out doing Crossfit at the beginning of this year 2-3 days per week. I quickly increased that to 4-5 days per week not because of my physical health, but because of the changes I saw in my mental health. Even on the days I'm tired, sore, or just run down, I always end up in a better headspace after a workout. I have never once regretted hanging out with friends and giving my all to a workout at CFS ❤️
Evan and all of the coaches are very engaged in coaching during class. No matter what the exercise is they all give a helpful tip or something to focus on during the movement. As someone who is trying to break a lot of bad form habits it is very refreshing and helpful. I’ve noticed that I’m mentally much more present for my wife and kids on days when I have an hour at steadfast for myself.

What did you accomplish today? Lili and I made it to Coach Anne’s Wednesday class. We had a great workout and then we met up with Evan for some extra training to help us stay focused and healthy. We are so fortunate to have a place like CrossFit Stedfast in Ashland serving those that want to improve their physical fitness. Don’t be intimidated, they design programming to fit anyone.

I have been out of the gym for 3 weeks. Today’s workout was challenging and humbling. The highlight was being able to use muscle memory for push press and was able to get all the reps! I also learned something new. The Z press. The 12 minute amrap was humbling. Thanks to coach David for keeping me on my toes and for the encouragement !

Evan is the best! I like that he teaches the point of the drill / exercise / tempo for the day and tells you exactly what you should feel in any given movement. He takes the time necessary to be sure you are setup to be your best at the task at hand. His pointers are extremely helpful too! He’s the first to give you a fist pump and a “heck ya” after each lift / wod. He’s built the best coaching staff in the area and has a gym community that fully supports him. So thankful for Crossfit Steadfast!

Evan is a great coach. He’s encouraging and will alter movements to fit to an individuals needs as well as making you push yourself to better yourself. I’ve been at Steadfast for 8 months and I’m down 30 pounds. I do give credit to the encouragement from the coaches. It also is a huge help that the environment of the gym makes you wanna keep coming back.
The expert staff at CFS is both connected to and driven to help each athlete reach their fullest potential. Weather striving to make the games (I wouldn’t know anything about that) or recovering from injury (much more my speed) they are skilled and excited to tailor workouts to meet everyone’s goal!

Great people & a nice coach. I came in fully prepared to be yelled at, humiliated, and reduced to a puddle of sweat and shame… but instead, my coach was actually encouraging. He didn’t scream “MOVE, MAGGOT!” or make me feel like a reality TV fitness show reject. Instead, he somehow tricked me into working hard while making me feel like I wasn’t dying inside. 10/10 would recommend if you want to get fit without developing gym-related PTSD.
Evan is an incredible coach. I’ve been to several CrossFit gyms here in the US and overseas, his passion and knowledge is above and beyond. His presence and attitude is like nothing I’ve seen. He inspires people around him to push themselves further than what they thought was possible

Megan did a great job today. She had suggestion that really helped my performance with the WOD. One was doing ring rows in the first set and banded pull ups in the second set.
David was awesome! I have never been a physical fitness person. Zero experience outside of the national club gym. I walked in and was through each part of the workout. He was never far away with pointers on form or a positive comment. He took the time to learn my story and my goals. Everyone else in the gym was so inviting. I definitely feel like I found my gym home!!

Love CFS! David was a great coach today! He broke down each move into small segments so we were sure to get correct form first and then able to execute our lifts well. He also kept our class on task and moving well to assure we were all able to complete the work on time which is so appreciated when you’re up and moving early before work!
This class is always the good kind of tough. I’m always a little nervous about what my abilities are and what I “can” do but the encouragement and coaching from the staff and other athletes are incredible! Definitely my favorite CF gym experience!
Evan always pushes me to my full lifting/CrossFit potential through extensive technique focus coupled with an amazing supportive gym environment! I PR-ed my front squat today at 205 lb. Less than 1 year ago I could barely front squat 100 lb because of a wrist injury remotely and usually would not even attempt it because of pain elicited. I have advanced so much in less than 1 year since my transition to CFSF!
It’s always good to see Sarah in the land of the living! She normally coaches the morning classes, but we day walkers love when Sarah hangs out with us! Sarah always pays attention to the class and makes sure to be checking in on members. She always brings a positive attitude and always laughing along with the community she has built with the rest of the coach’s!

I had a GREAT experience. All members were friendly and welcoming. The workout was scaled and modified to my ability level. Evan supported and encouraged me during my visit. The facility is clean and organized. I appreciated that Evan monitored my movements during the workout and corrected me when needed.
I think the coaching was very purposeful and helpful. They were very supportive with correcting my form but also encouraging me with motions I did well! Everyone was so nice and uplifting as it was my first time there. I truly felt welcomed and like I belonged there!

Truly so thankful for the Steadfast Family coming into my life. I started because the coaches and classes were truly amazing! They will personally adjust and support your fitness journey in and outside the classes. You’re not just a number but a person. You not only see but feel the priority that you are to them. But what made this place a home away from home was the people. I work out more than I have in years and a large part of that is because I can’t wait to see everyone!! They make me laugh and smile. They push me to grow and believe I can do more than I thought. And I have felt and seen them support each other in the good and bad times. I have fallen in love with CrossFit because I love having goals and pushing myself to grow. But I have fallen in love with steadfast because of the people!
She gave good instruction on the movements. Today was my first day and she made sure I was comfortable with the exercises and the pace.
