Sam walked me through what to expect and how the gym generally runs. He did a great job leading the class and helped a lot of people. I know I have some bad habits and old techniques I need to correct due to lifting/working out by myself and Sam helped me know what I was doing wrong and how I could correct it. The gym was a positive and friendly atmosphere. 10 out to 10 experience.

Fun class and great feedback on technique
Carrie was incredibly welcoming on my first day. She made sure I had everything I needed and encouraged me to ask any questions. I’m really enjoying the group so far, everyone has been friendly and inviting.
I dropped in to Kingstown CrossFit while I was in town and I gotta give a shout out to Madeline. I ended up getting there about eight minutes late, but she was chill and nice about it and she just welcomed me right in. Got me settle in without making a big deal out of it. She didn’t make me feel like she was doubting my experience or feel like an outsider. She kept an eye on me in a really friendly easygoing way and made sure I was doing the WOD correctly. Plus, she’s just one of those coaches who clearly loves what she does and it shows. Only thing is, I noticed I couldn’t pick her name from the coach list when I was leaving a review, so just tossing her name out here. If you’re ever in the area, definitely look for Madeline. She’s awesome.
Coach David is one of the best CFK has to offer! He is great at keeping the class on task and on pace to finish when we’re supposed to. He explains movements/lifts well and is always willing to help athletes modify/scale movements as needed. He also has killer music taste, so the playlist will be full of bangers if he’s coaching.

Coach Ali always does a great job instructing the morning classes and getting you to put in your best effort, no matter what that may look like for the day. She's very attentive to every member of the class, providing cues to help improve your movement patterns as well as scaling options to get the intented stimulus of the workout, no matter where you are in your fitness journey. Even as I was recovering from wrist surgery, she adjusted workouts to my needs allowing me to stay fit and engaged, and eventually returning to full capacity with very little drop-off. I've been a member of Crossfit Kingstowne for nearly 8 years now and I couldn't be happier to have found this community of like-minded individuals. Not only are the members welcoming and supportive, but they know how to have fun as well. No matter what the day has in store for me, I try to start every morning at Crossfit Kingstowne. I know I'll be provided with a great workout and I'll leave feeling better because of it.

The 5a.m. Coaches definitely do the hard parts of keeping everyone moving and on task early in the morning. Helpful while they move around the class and do a good job of pushing everyone to work at the height of their skill level.

This is our favorite box in ALL of the DC area. This box has always had fantastic programming, great space, and such friendly people (wonderful atmosphere). We will always go out of our way to make it back to this box!

Ali always runs a fun and effective class. She takes us through a comprehensive warm up focused on the areas to be utilized during class. The strength portion of classs usually follows the warm up although not always. Ali always provides clear direction and demonstrates the proper movement and scaled options for the strength and metcon portions of class. She takes the time to check in and provide feedback for everyone in class. She also is aware of each members strengths and areas of concern, she makes sure that if you are nursing any injuries or soreness to provide options. Ali makes class fun by her bubbly personality and interactions with class members.
Coach Ken always shows up with the best attitude! He pays attention to members individually and always checks in to see if modifications are needed. His demonstrations of movements are thorough but to the point. He effectively keeps the energy up in the room and pushes everyone to work a little harder!

Ali is very smart. She will always let you know how to scale, what to focus on, and what small changes can make a big impact. She is great at balancing compassion and challenge for each individual while keeping an overall eye on the class. Plus she brings the puppies!

I appreciate the way Ken coaches, especially his attention to detail and the specific feedback he gives during workouts. He has a good eye for form and technique. His WoD break downs are detailed and clearly outline the purpose and intended stimulus. 10/10 would recommend 👍🏼

Ali is An amazing coach. She clearly loves what she does and always has a smile on. I’ve been coming to her 7:15 class for 2 years now and it’s always a blast. I’ve learned a lot and gotten a lot stronger. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a coach
The class was well taught by Sam and he continues to push me to do my best! I am currently struggling with the hang cleans and he’s given me tons of advice and broke down all the steps in order for me to do to it correctly. Sam’s a gem and always has a positive attitude!
