Trey really focused on making sure that I stayed safe on my first day back at CrossFit Fairhope, carefully watching my form and offering adjustments when needed to prevent any strain or injury. At the same time, he made sure I got a good workout by guiding me through a balanced mix of strength and cardio exercises that challenged me without overwhelming me. Even though he was giving attention to the whole group, he checked in on me often - asking how I was feeling, encouraging me when I struggled, and modifying movements to fit my pace. That balance of safety and challenge made my return to the gym feel confident and energizing.
Dylan is always patient and understanding throughout every session. He gives me the space to find my own rhythm with the movements, never rushing me, and offers clear, thoughtful guidance to help me get the best workout possible. Whether it’s adjusting my form or suggesting a slight modification to the weights, he is attentive without making me feel pressured. What’s one positive change you’ve noticed since joining CrossFit Fairhope? My overall health has dramatically improved, I feel better and I sleep better. Dylan is a very observant coach and it helps knowing that he’s there making sure I’m doing the movements correctly.

Good class today, just what I needed. Dylan was so thorough in explaining/confirming each of the movements and scaling options. Then, as the WOD starts, he’s walking around giving us little tips and reminders.
Krista is hands down one of the best coaches. She has this way of making you feel both supported and challenged at the same time. She notices the little things, helps fix your form, and somehow knows exactly when you’ve got a little more left in the tank. Her energy is contagious, and she makes every workout fun, even on the hardest days. I’m so grateful for her encouragement and the confidence she’s helped me build inside and outside the gym!

I thought that Dylan was very helpful. Overhead squats as well as squat snatch are a big weakness of mine, and he was very helpful with walking me through some of the mechanics cleaning up my technique a little. I thought that the gym was nice and a good setup with good equipment. Overall, I definitely enjoyed the experience.

I can’t say enough great things about CrossFit Fairhope and the coaches!! I walked through the door on my 48th birthday having never done CrossFit before. Dylan met me that first day and has been consistent with his coaching and patience everyday. There has never been a day when I felt overwhelmed or out of place. Dylan always makes sure everyone is comfortable with the movements and is always there to help you scale as needed. I don’t know if I would’ve fallen on love with CrossFit if I had tried a different gym first. CrossFit Fairhope is more than another box it’s a community and a way of life!!!

It felt a little like a walk of shame stepping into a gym for the first time in a few years. If I were an athletic trainer, I probably would have rolled my eyes at the middle aged lady who could not even do one sit-up. But, not Dylan. He respectfully showed me modifications while challenging me to put in some work. I thought I was just going to pop in for a class to satisfy my friend who would not leave me alone about it, but here I am packing a gym bag every morning just in case I can get in an extra workout. I am sore enough to feel motivated and not too sore to get down the stairs-just perfect. Thanks so much, Dylan, for the kind, kick in the butt! I am excited about adjusting my fitness journey to incorporate CrossFit Fairhope.

Dylan treated me like an old friend. Better yet, as if I had always been there. Gave me good pointers without making me feel dumb and encouraged me and the class the whole time. It feels strange, like I’ve been to this gym before. So many familiar faces around. Only negative I can say about Dylan is, he’s bald. But not in a cute baby bottom bald. Like his head looks like bean with kiwi hair fuzz on top. Other than that, great experience overall. 10 out of whatever 10 is.

Coach Krista was great today as she always is for the 8:30 class. She clearly explains the warmup, strength & WOD components of the class and personally demos all the movements. During the workout she helps athletes with movement pointers, weight adjustments and other timely directions. Couldn’t ask for a better Coach!

Dylan did an excellent job of introducing himself and getting me acquainted with the facility. His explanation of the WOD was thorough and he answered any questions I had. During the WOD Dylan was very attentive to the athletes, and helped critique form throughout if needed. Overall, Dylan did an excellent job and helped make my drop-in an excellent experience.
No one was ever happier than me, this morning at 9:30, to be blown-out, gasping and wasted. I'd just finished my first full CrossFit WOD in seven and a half months, since my left-hip-joint replacement surgery last July 15. I'm grateful beyond measure for the support of the Fairhope CrossFit coaches and community during my long rehabilitation. To know all of you is an extraordinary blessing. God is very kind. As for a "review" of the WOD itself, I'll say that I appreciated its challenging nature, even if it did kick me in the rear. (The command, prior to the WOD, to perform five minutes of all-out sit-ups as a "core" accessory turned out to be a double-red warning flag of the storm to come.) I did make one switch-up in my WOD exercise lineup, replacing rope-jumping with burpees. Bouncy exercise activities are forbidden to me right now. Burpees are mean little fellows, but, hey, if you've embarked upon the CrossFit comeback trail, you can't go easy on yourself.

Dylan was great this morning as he is every time he’s been coaching while I’m in class. He is very knowledgeable about the movements and corrects any errant movements by an athlete in a very positive way. He’s also very aware of any injury or mobility issues and offers alternatives. My experiences with him have been nothing but great!
